The Retreat
Nestled in the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, on the edge of the Casentino
Forests National Park, La Cavina 83 is a beautifully restored 18th-century stone house
where time slows down and nature takes centre stage.
Just 80 km from Florence
and 65 km from Ravenna.
We are in the heart of the Romagna Toscana, a borderland historically tied to the Grand Duchy of Tuscany and incorporated into the province of Forlì-Cesena in 1923. Every trail tells the story of two cultures; every stone carries the marks of a thousand-year history. The house offers a spacious garden overlooking the valley and free parking right by the entrance. It is the perfect place to unwind, hike through the surrounding woods, or work remotely thanks to high-speed Starlink WiFi. There are no televisions — a deliberate choice to let you experience this place in its most authentic form, listening to the silence.
